Rick Halberg, Founder

Developer and Executive ChefRick Halberg is an award-winning chef who has applied his exceptional culinary creativity in the Detroit area for the past 35 years. He has been the force behind several highly regarded Detroit restaurants including R.I.K.’s  in West Bloomfield, Emily’s in Northville and Tutto Benne in Farmington Hills.  As proprietor and chef at Emily’s, Rick was honored with the Golden Dish Award from Esquire Magazine, featured twice in Gourmet Magazine’s Best American Restaurants Supplement and recipient of the highest awards from Zagat.  He has been critically acclaimed in the media who have consistently given his restaurants four star ratings. Recently, Rick directed the culinary services for Hiller’s Market, a family-owned chain of seven supermarkets in S.E. Michigan, where he was the innovator of quality take-home options while supervising and training a staff of 18 and overseeing all purchasing and inventory for this department.  Rick attended the Culinary Institute of America graduating in 1977.

Brian D. Siegel, Developer and Business Operations Manager

Brian D. Siegel is the founder and managing partner of Joe Dumars’ Fieldhouse.  The Fieldhouse is a dynamic athletic and entertainment business with facilities in Shelby Township (100,000 square feet) and Detroit (30,000 square feet), Michigan.  The Fieldhouse is recognized nationally as an innovator in the athletic and entertainment center industry.  In addition, Mr. Siegel practiced real estate law for a national firm in Chicago prior to moving home to Detroit to open the Fieldhouse.  Brian is a leader in the community having won several awards and is currently the president of the Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan.  Brian attended the University of Michigan receiving has Bachelor of Arts degree in 1986 and his Law degree in 1989.  Brian is 48 years old, married to Jennifer and has two children; Natalie (14) and Griffin (11).

Geoff Kretchmer, Event Center Partner

Event Center Partner

Geoff Kretchmer is the President and managing partner of Star Trax Event Productions, the communities leading social entertainment company.  Star Trax provides interactive entertainment, audio/visual services, valet parking along with an assortment of other event related products.  In 2011 Star Trax appeared at nearly 1200 events locally and another 150 events out of the state of Michigan.  Geoff has a Master’s Degree in Educational and Clinical Psychology from Wayne State University and worked in Child Welfare for the first 11 years of his professional career.  Geoff is 44, married to Jody and has two children, Noah (15) and Emma (13).
